Preferred Towing and Recovery, Inc. was started in 1998 by James S. Fisher and John B. Shank III. Opening with two trucks and serving only a few motor clubs, they have now grown to a small fleet of trucks serving several motor clubs, several garages, six local police departments, and private motorists.

Preferred Towing and Recovery, Inc. was built on a company philosophy of taking care of customers in a timely manner and with respect to their needs.

James S. Fisher was born and raised in Noblesville, IN. He attended the Noblesville school system, and graduated from Noblesville High School. He currently lives in Noblesville with his wife Penny and their four children.

Jim has several years of automotive experience, working for a few local garages and towing companies in the area. He attended and graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute with a degree in Automotive Technology, and is currently a Level 1 certified towing operator from the Towing & Recovery Association of America.

Jim believes that every business should be built on top-notch customer service. He strongly believes in taking care of the customer and putting their needs first.

John B. Shank III was born and raised in Indianapolis. He attended St. Matthews Elementary, and he graduated from Cathedral High School. He then went on to attend and graduate from Indiana State University, where he studied Business and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing.

John also has a Level 1 towing operator certification from the Towing & Recovery Association of America.

John and his wife Nicole currently reside in Carmel and are the proud new parents of twin baby girls.

John has a "get-it-done" attitude. No matter what the problem is, he firmly believes he can resolve the issue and get the job done.
